Art direction, we were instructed to take inspiration from the Dragonball aesthetics. In total, there were 40 player artworks, 22 management team portraits and 3 backgrounds drawn. These are some of the final cover artworks as tweeted by the CARA Twitter. Gwan Ireland! We're loving these animé CARA covers, which will surely send the team off to Japan for the Rugby World Cup with a "home advantage" #greenspirit @AerLingus @irfu pic.twitter.com/PTOVZlvW33 — CARA Magazine (@CARAMagazine) September 12, 2019 The reception from the players were pretty good! These are some of the Instagram stories that were posted! Just incase the lads were stuck for reading material en route to Japan we worked with an Asian anime studio to create individual player artworks for a special edition of Cara magazine for @AerLingus. @IrishRugby seem happy with the likenesses😉😉#HomeAdvantage #RugbyWorldCup pic.twitter.com/dyy1sIBCmn — Verve Live Agency (@VerveLiveAgency) September 11, 2019 For more details and additional artworks, you can check out our Behance entry!
