Collateral Damage Studios is a group of art enthusiasts who debuted on the Singapore illustration scene in 2007. Inspired by pop culture, CDS aims to promote local creative talents, produce high quality illustrations, and have plenty of fun.
Actively engaging with international doujin communities, we are an independent studio working closely with companies and agencies to create concept art and branding visuals.
Reflecting our origins in Kaleidoscope, we advise and support student initiatives, such as Extravaganza, to provide aspiring Singaporean artists with platforms to debut.
Take a peek behind the scenes
The resident character designer, WaHa has done animation, manga, and illustrations of girls, fluffy animals, and spacecraft. One day, there will be a furry girl piloting a spacecraft in there.
And he insists on avoiding most human contact whenever possible. Fat hope. Watch out for his regular #wahawednesday!
He is Usanekorin and he is glad to meet you. An extraordinary artist, clients have commented that he should draw cute girls for a living. And THAT is precisely what he intends to do.
The dreamy, spacey kid doodling all over their textbooks in class? That would be Poopiepuff. Growing up, her textbooks would be filled with drawings of doll-like girls in frilly Victorian inspired dresses.
She generally draw a lot of aesthetic inspiration from ball-jointed dolls or porcelain dolls, she absolutely love them. Clothing and design wise, she have a bias love towards Victorian, Rococo or Baroque inspired fashion. Other things that inspire her (because she really love building her paintings in the sense that they tell some sort of story) are horror movies, creepypastas, poems, music and even true crime. .
A beginner illustrator studying as a designer in mechanical engineering field. Likes anime, manga, game and drawing fan arts of cute girls. Wants to be better in digital illustration and able to use Adobe Illustrator and bits of Premiere Pro.
Space Penguin is a penguin from space *duh* who is also a closet hikkikomori with otaku tendencies. She tries not to appear too otaku but we all know the truth. IF you are VERY lucky, she might turn up in cosplay too. Probably the most versatile among all of us when it comes down to art direction, she’s the one we go to to get things done!
Haimerejzero. Such is the name muttered angrily by DigiPen students when they see their sempai’s work being used as yet another example of what they should aim for. Now working with one of the highest profile game companies in Singapore, he is the artist to look out for. We have high hopes for him. Go be a big name!
That said, nowadays, he just wants to play his FFXIV. Hurry up and play some other games!
Someone who likes to collect anime figures and draw characters with a onee-sama/yandere personality. Currently stuck in Granblue Fantasy Salt hell. Also keeping the nation safe.
One of the most popular artists in tune with the fandom. The mastermind behind all those weird comics that the rest of us always shake our heads disapprovingly at. But those have made him the powerhouse that amazes us. We have created a monster.
Also known as Mr. JUN, he is very popular with his legion of ex-students. Once in a while, his ex-students approach our booth looking for Mr. JUN, who will emerge from the back with a mixture of embarrassment and pride.
Watch out for his weekly art under #JUNSunday!
Drew penguin for a living and on her off days she is busy multitasking between love, painting and anything else on her to-do list in her own lil world.
One half of the Black Label Team. Her vast forbidden knowledge is something to behold even if it corrupts your soul at the same time. I will never look at Arashi no Yoru ni the same way.
The other half of the Black Label Team. Formally, Semi-Shigure. Usually more quiet but can get vocal about her passion. Which given her vast knowledge and interest, happens often. Expect to see plenty of cute art from her!
IdleErrant, previously Manzart, has been with us from the start. Unlike the rest, his works carry some Western influences. Please draw more!
ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ Member of FNP but currently working for CDS. Most likely to be streaming on Picarto.
Our salesperson. Most likely the person you'll find at our booth at conventions. What can we do without him? (Answer: Stand around, avoid human contact, and hope people buy our art automatically.) When he is not doing death-defying stunts, he is also an agent for the Empire/First Order. Hopefully when he is running around as a Rebel Alliance trooper, he's doing so as a double agent.
The producer and non-illustrator of the team. He manages the team's online presence and external and internal communications. If you want to ask about pricing, he is the one you talk to. Tweet him hi!
Dieletze, previously Tragic Comedy, is quite a legend in the community. He is officially the founder for this doujin circle and now he runs Artblovk. The gallery does exhibitions occasionally (look out for them!) and weekly live drawing classes.
