#CDS0022: Starry * Night
After half a year of writing, drawing, redrawing and RE-redrawing, Starry Night is finally completed and ready to go on sale! Read on if you never knew about this project or you want to update yourself with what’s going on!
We like Black Rock Shooter. Partly influenced by the presence of Hanazawa and partly due to that awesome original music video (not the anime).
We also like Touhou. An obvious observation judging from the amount of touhou stuffs we did.
Just like peanut butter and jelly, when faced with two very likeable things, we did the only logical next step. We made a cross over.
First and foremost, introducing

It was Sakuya’s birthday. Of sorts, at least. It was supposed to be a happy day in Remilia’s castle but a dark shadow loomed over both master and servant. Remilia was unable to defend Sakuya, leading to a fallout. Over at BRS’ world, Black Rock Shooter faces off with a resurrected Dead Master who now have new found power over time. Two distinct incidents over both worlds. Could they possibly be linked?
This is a crossover story between Touhou and Black Rock Shooter. A ‘versus’ story, I like to say since you can expect that when the characters from both worlds meet each other, they won’t be doing so in a very polite manner. So put aside that gentlemanly cup of tea and roll up your sleeves. This is an action story and there will be loads of action. Featuring a story from a fanfiction writer who is emerging from retirement, manga art by our award winning artist and additional CGs from our team of talented artists, this is a story you should not miss.
This project is particularly significant since this is perhaps the first project in which almost all of CDS members will be involved (including members from our Black Label team and me, the manager too!). This will show you guys that the girls from our Black Label team draws more than just tall, lanky bishonen. In addition, overseas artists who are interested in contributing towards this project are more than welcome to join in the fun.

#CDS0022a: Black Rock Shooter Glass

Forming the first part of our crossover mayhem, we will be doing something we have never done before. We will be releasing a beautifully done up Black Rock Shooter glass (pun intended). Designed by one of our latest artist, JUN, this shot glass is silk screen printed onto high quality glass. That flaming lamborghini you love will never look the same with BRS’ flaming eye gracing the glass.
Update: My girls suggested that these glasses make wonderful candle holders too. Just melt a bunch of wax and put your own wick. Now this shooter glass can also be enjoyed by non-alcoholic drinking people!

Fantasy Photobooth #mangaphoto
It started as an inconspicuous email. The requirements looked easy on (digital) paper but we probably got more than what we bargained for. Not that it was a poor experience. It was incredibly stressful, tense and wrist-numbing. But at the end of it all, we got a good insight into how the advertising industry work and yes, it was fun. As much as there were moments when we felt like giving up or making a run for it, there were moments that were fun and rewarding. Throw in the satisfying feeling of triumph when the day ended and we survived the challenge, and it all made for a great experience for all of us involved.

Facebook. Love it or hate it, you can’t escape from it. Some of the CDS artists such as Xeph, GreenTeaNeko or IdleErrant (previously Manzart) have embraced Facebook. Others, such as Semi-Shigure had insisted on keeping out of that damn privacy-invading website. And you have lurkers such as WaHa who will visit the CDS Facebook but still refuse to ‘like’ it.
Ever since I, Komicer, figured out social media, CDS has been quite active among all the various platforms. Other than Google+; that one still confounds me. However, out of all, Facebook is where we are most active and where we share tons of the things that we are doing while NOT preparing for Cosfest X.2.
Recently, our Facebook hit a new milestone. Within a span of 2-3 years, we have finally hit 1000 fans. It’s not much compared to AFA or even others such as Ani-Culture or Radiantdreamer. But hey, it’s a nice milestone for all of us and calls for some celebration (and freebies)! (more…)

Hi Desmon, the timeframe for preorders is over but you can try and get the complete doujin when it is released. Probably by the next event.

Hello Bo~ Welcome to the CDS webpage! Unfortunately, both the Starry Night doujin and shotglass are sold out on our side. However, there are still a couple of ways of getting your Starry Night doujin. Firstly, we have someone here (http://www.facebook.com/cds.sg/posts/312533778764445) who is trying to sell away their doujin. Yea, what a pity but it’s your chance to get it on a lower price! If you want a first hand copy of Starry Night, I think Harris Planerds (http://www.facebook.com/Planerds) still have some stocks of it on their shelves.
