#CxD0001 - After School Tea Timers

K-on! copyright 2007 Kakifly/Houbunsha & Kyoto Animation.

Azunyan is tired of the club being such a slacker club and thus motivates everyone to prepare for another performance. However, what is a K-on story without the antics of our lovable characters doing cute, funny things? Don’t forget to throw in obligatory D*C reference from our satsugai-loving artists.

As a final product to cap 2009 and start off 2010, CDS has collaborated with up-and-coming art group, Daiyaku for the first time to bring to you this K-on story, After School Tea Timers.  Featuring full colored illustrations and a series of 4 komas from artists of both groups, this doujin is a must-have for any fans of K-on.

Just click the above image to have a sample of something inside. Don’t worry, I believe Ritsu has at least nine lives.

One 28 page B5 doujin                    15 SGD

‘After School Tea Timers’ will have a limited release this EOY and more stocks will be released for future events.

CDS @ AFA Booth D12

Little Busters! copyright 2007 Visual Arts Key.

Our updates about this special event has been sparse (Due to us having worked our asses off to get things rolling) but rest assured, we are going to be there. How can you not be there?! There is so much to look forward to: from the maids to the concerts to the exhibitions. Oh yes, we will be there. Having hijacked a booth space at Anime Festival Asia 2009, we will be selling our most recent products including the long awaited Little Busters! set, comprising of the Illustration Fanbook, Scroll posters and the long delayed Tee-shirt. Preorders are all ready for collection there!

So artists or not, animanga fans or not, just drop by and talk to us! We are friendly people, really~! We can be found at Booth D12, after genesis frontier and Odex Takashimaya, together with our good friends from Surface, who are currently enjoying Evangelion 2.0 with Asuka, moe moe Rei and Mari in cinemas here (still cant believe it is currently in the top 5 movies this week!).

Fixed! on Extravaganza

Fixed! Copyright 2009 Competition Commission of Singapore

When CCS first emailed us, I thought we struck gold. Turns out it wasn’t our beloved card-wielding mahou shoujo who emailed us but rather Competition Commission of Singapore, a state-linked organization that promotes business competition here. Working with them are still a worthwhile experience and after months of nitpicking and refining, I finally have this manga in my hands.

Fixed! is intended to promote their message and to teach Singapore youths about monopolies and how to deal with them in a more interesting way. Painstakingly written and drawn by our very own Manzart, Fixed! will be distributed for free through whatever channels CCS have. Since they have given us a good number of the manga, we will be giving away Fixed! at any booths we have in future locally-based events. While stocks last!

Talking about competition, the deadline for Extravaganza ‘09 is in around one month’s time. This year’s Kaleidoscope! will be part of this larger umbrella event which will also put together Graphite and Ink competition, organized by NUS Comics and Animation Society and NTU Visual Arts Society in the past. Yes, your artwork will be showcased during AFA. This is going to be one big event! If you are interested in participating in this year’s Kaleidoscope section, just drop us an email or join us on Facebook!
