Fixed! on Extravaganza

Fixed! Copyright 2009 Competition Commission of Singapore

When CCS first emailed us, I thought we struck gold. Turns out it wasn’t our beloved card-wielding mahou shoujo who emailed us but rather Competition Commission of Singapore, a state-linked organization that promotes business competition here. Working with them are still a worthwhile experience and after months of nitpicking and refining, I finally have this manga in my hands.

Fixed! is intended to promote their message and to teach Singapore youths about monopolies and how to deal with them in a more interesting way. Painstakingly written and drawn by our very own Manzart, Fixed! will be distributed for free through whatever channels CCS have. Since they have given us a good number of the manga, we will be giving away Fixed! at any booths we have in future locally-based events. While stocks last!

Talking about competition, the deadline for Extravaganza ‘09 is in around one month’s time. This year’s Kaleidoscope! will be part of this larger umbrella event which will also put together Graphite and Ink competition, organized by NUS Comics and Animation Society and NTU Visual Arts Society in the past. Yes, your artwork will be showcased during AFA. This is going to be one big event! If you are interested in participating in this year’s Kaleidoscope section, just drop us an email or join us on Facebook!

Pangya artist passes away. No more Kooh (TAT)

Kooh by Xeph. RIP SeeD.

Relayed news from Kotaku and Canned Dogs. Apparently the artist of popular MMO Golf game Pangya, SeeD, has passed away at the young age of 28, due to illness. He leaves behind his legacy of ultra cute character artwork for not only the PC and PSP versions of Pangya, but also an undisclosed project he was working on.

CDS extends our condolences to another talented artist who has gone to join his creations in the other world. RIP SeeD.

And the countdown to AFA continues… apparently they have more news about the cosplay events but as thats not our focus or speciality, we’ll just conveniently direct you to their main site for more credible details. Also, here’s the banner that has been mysteriously NOT showing up on our website for some reason…

More updates to come, so stay tuned! now if only someone could show me how to do the Stormtrooper helmet…
