As expected, the attendees of the media briefing are a good mix of industry personnel, observers, local press, local bloggers as well as cosplayers (!).
Of course, the big news of the events are the following, in short point form. =3

- Shoko Nakagawa, famous blogger, singer, cosplayer, host, manga-ka (huh?), illustrator (what, really?) and seiyuu is also performing at the event!

And now for stuff NOT mentioned in the briefing…

Extravaganza!
Extravaganza, the illustration showcase at AFA09 this year includes the famed competitions, Graphite and Ink, which are held by the two national universities in Singapore, National University of Singapore and Nanyang Technological University, will be present at AFA09 along with CDS’ Kaleidoscope this year!
More information in this website.
CDS is also joining the artist alley this time as well, even though no concrete news have been layed down. I’m sure we’ll work out something along the way.
Looks like AFA09 is shaping up to be a livelier event. Lets hope the next media briefing will include more information and more attractions to bring up the hype!

I can imagine it now:
