Thanks to our specially acquired slave Event photographer Windbell, CDS has managed to get some coverage shots of STCC for your enjoyment! He’s just like Aya, but not smexy and female.

Also Included in this mini photo essay are my thoughts about The Convention and some of the notable people inside. As there has already been so much coverage flying over the Internets about the crowd, the cosplayers and the big players i would like to dedicate this one to all the guys and girls who worked so hard to make this Con a success. Thank you PI-Events! And all the unseen ones who worked so hard to get everything running!

I had fun gaming with Stephen. Really. The Game is damn awesome. A pity the show itself really stinks. Damien and mysterious bodyguard from PI were there to conduct secret industry espionage too! Shhhhhh…

More dark dealing with NUS. They were there to promote GRAPHITE and a super secret upcoming event, the likes of which will surface sooner or later when the time is right.

The 0ne at the IFS booth. Seriously this man is like the God of fortune and Legend amongst the community. How does he do it?

It all starts with Stick Figures. and a chainsaw. Apparently this was Jennifer’s request. you go girl!

Artgerm and two rabid hamsters. They proceeded to eat him alive cap first after this photo was taken. He was replaced the following day with a gynoid from the secret robot spy factory.

See? its really secret! it doesnt exist! Sonny liew is an incredibly talented man. All the way from Frankie and Poo to now. Good stuff. I’ll get you your betrayal on house of the haunted hill someday.

His books sold like hotcakes. I want that secret painting of his with the schoolgirl. Its being sold in November and i must post this here as a reminder to go bid for it. i like roti prata better, myself.

GEMPAK! After viewing what they had to offer from their selection of artists I wanted to do a zetsubou sensei for abit. Then i realised he wanted us onboard too. Who’s he?

Terence Choi of Gempak. A very enthusiastic man. Hopefully we will meet again as equals in future.

REMEMBER! I must remember to get this book once its been translated into english. I can read malay, but im very slow. this is the reason to despair, folks. just look at the quality of their stuff! Their not the only ones capable of such things, either…

The Folks from Mangaholix have only been in existence for 2 years, and they have a bucketload of good stuff! A pity that their scripts tend to sound like super soaps but thats a Filipino thing i guess. the artwork more than makes up for it.

Zemotion. Apparently Windbell had alot of fun flipping skirts for her new book. Its really awe inspiring. the photos, I mean.

The ACAS. Like TCZ, they’ve been around a long time. I cant really say much more than that because i feel that apart from being around for so long, they dont have anything much to show. Thats life for you, I guess.

Someone playing with the Wacom Cintiq. I use one at work. Its cool but really tiring on the hands and eyes and the color doesnt come out 100% right. That said, Its the closest you can come to literally drawing whats in your mind.

Mmmm Bread. Mycstea wanted to try some. Its a good thing he stopped before taking a swallow.

Strategy entertainment and Generals Order, their 3 kingdoms take. I wish they’d just do a gender bender version. It would soooooooooo sell out.

I did mention the place was packed right? This was over on the other end where all the bigwigs were. Didnt spend too much time here because it was hard to breathe.

It shall be my eternal regret that i didnt queue up for gloomy bear stuff.

Some obligatory propaganda to show you our popularity. in actual fact, we had to viciously zombify each and every one of them and get them to stand in line just for this shot. After that we had to chop off the heads and burn them alive. humanely.

This is C02. He’s one of our powerhouses when it come so to events. the Pedobear behind him ensures he does not falter in his neverending task of converting yet more innocents into slavering fanboys.

Imaginary friends that arent imaginary after all. Chester Ocampo’s Yoko was jaw droppingly delicious. We had the privilege of being situated opposite them and during the 3 days we learnt what it meant to be at the top of the food chain. They will have our eternal support. As long as they keep drawing sexy ladies.

NUS and GRAPHITE. I must remember to ask the minions to join and show them what CDS can do.

Soraworks has my respect for taking up the challenge to take part in a booth for STCC. No other local doujin group joined and it is my regret that I couldn’t have done more to help them get in.

We did this for some lame online TV show. hearing my voice live makes me cringe.

Well, thats all we have for this round. I dont think we will have any more because we ran out of cash to hire Windbell for day 3 of the Con (isnt it sad?). Like mysctea said, We enjoyed ourselves immensely and i personally had the chance to get to know more artists and hopefully create openings for future collaborations.
Next up, we’ll see you at Cosfest! Im not sure what exactly the organizers are up to, but having run my fair share of conventions and such (6, to be exact) I can say that its a tough job and that i sincerely hope they are doing their best. Because theres going to be hell if theres a hiccup.
